Jmelcatust a little friendly public service announcement… There’s MORE ways to search for books, audiobooks, CDs & DVDs… even find access to scholarly journals and more nuanced resources. We recommend acquainting yourself, dear patron, with The Michigan Electronic Library… or as well call it, MeL.

MeL DatabasesPicture1 allow you instant access to full-text articles from tens of thousands of magazines and newspapers. MeLCat, meanwhile, allows you to order books, audio books, music, movies and other materials and have them delivered to FPL. View a video to familiarize yourself with MeLCat.

But there’s more. Here’s something especially cool for those passionate about local history, there’s MeL Michigana contains photographs, diaries, oral histories, local records and historical Michigan data.
