Many of you have heard about the changes coming to the Ferndale Library.
Perhaps you’re wondering how you can help?
Well, we’ve got all kinds of options:
1.) If you like dancing: Check out Friends of the Ferndale Library Pride Prom next Friday night!
Show your pride when we kick off this year’s Ferndale Pride Festival with a prom in the library!
Pride Prom, presented by Friends of the Ferndale Library, will feature dancing with a live DJ and formal photos snapped by Nan Kerr Mueller. We’ll have be crowning a Royal Court, and more! Come relive your youth by dancing (and drinking) to support Pride, The Library and Affirmations. Yes, our fabulous Pride Punch will be spiked The Pride Prom will be catered by local favorites such as Pinwheel Bakery. Beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages will also be available.
Free on-site babysitting will be provided by members of Ferndale High School’sGay-Straight Alliance. The prom will be on Friday, May 30th from 8 to midnight.
Tickets are $25 each and may be purchased at http://ferndalefriends.org/prom. Tickets are $30 at the door on the day of the Prom. All proceeds benefit the Ferndale Public Library.
