The library will be closed Thursday, November 28 – Sunday, December 1 for Thanksgiving. Have a safe and happy holiday weekend.
We’re closed for the weekend! But next week, there’s still plenty going on at the Library! While you’re here – we want to express our great, humble thanks to all who donated funds to the Library by means of dessert-and-baked-goods-purchases -from our annual Bake Sale! Another big thanks to all the local bakers who contributed their special treats! The moneys raised will fund next year’s special Summer Concert Series! Stay tuned!
In the meantime – next week:

And, scanning the web – let’s take a look back at the Best Books of 2013:

Meanwhile, across the pond, from UK’s The Guardian: Writers and critics on the best books of 2013— Recommendations from: Hilary Mantel, Jonathan Franzen, Mohsin Hamid, Ruth Rendell, Tom Stoppard, Malcolm Gladwell, Roddy Doyle, Eleanor Catton and many more
The National Book Foundation gave its annual top award to James McBride’s work of fiction The Good Lord Bird
