Early Ferndale (Artifacts on Display -Museum Talk in February)

Garry Andrews-Taylor, President of the Ferndale Historical Society stopped by the Ferndale Library last week to install a special display (near the circulation desk, pictured below) propping his forthcoming talk on Early Ferndale

DSC01659The theme of this display and inclusive of my talk is “Early Images and local artifacts curated specially by Garry for the Library this month encompass “the one time lay of the land and the sequence of peoples and events that eventually lead to the Ferndale we know of today.”

Interestingly, viewers of the display (and attendees of Garry’s forthcoming talk in February will notice that “some of its geographical issues Ferndalians deal with today” were still apparent decades and decades ago. “Also, it establishes a time line for the taming of this very difficult terrain.”

Garry will have a photo board for those interested presented during the talk and will make some of material covering this subject-matter available for purchase.
