Turns out I’m half-way through reading what turned out to be the First Winner of:‘s First Book Award! – a novel inspired by the experiences of Kevin Powers, author and veteran, during his time as a gunner in Iraq.
The Guardian(UK) book site commended Powers visceral debut for its show of ‘extraordinary promise.’ Get to know this book -which, for my part, is shaping up to likely be my own favorite release of 2012 -from GoodReads…
