In recent library news –

Read about “outdoor libraries” set up by a collaboration of students, between a Detroit elementary school and the University of Michigan – responding to the recent closing of a local branch. Water-proof book cases were key!

Reading that was very enthusing, it got me reverent over the role, the “vital” role libraries can (and should always) play in society. In fact, after a bit of searching on the wild Internet, I found this Op-Ed piece from Statesman JournalLibraries vital to health of our society -wherein writer Sam Hall lays out the top 6 most important roles for “good libraries…”
