Local Music in the Library

Read about our initiative to build a(n even stronger) local music collection…

We already have a formidable section of albums recorded and produced by an array of local talent – (nearing 300 titles, to date!), but now we’re calling for more donations!

Local artists can send their recorded works to: Ferndale Public Library, Attn: Kelly Bennett, 222 E. Nine Mile, Ferndale, MI 48220.

CD donations are tax-deductible /  receipts provided upon donor’s request.

Any CDs donated to the library will be labeled with a “local artist” sticker.

In other FPL / Ferndale News…

The City Council will host a “goal-setting meeting” in the Library’s community room, 6pm on Tuesday, Feb. 6th, as the Daily Tribune reportsproviding an opportunity for citizens to weigh in with city officials on their thoughts for the future of Ferndale.

Issues Mayor Coulter is particularly interested in discussing, the Tribune reports: “communicating more with residents and working with the school district…”

This work-session meeting will include all council members, the police chief, fire chief, and public works director.
