National Book Awards

National Book Award Winning Author (for 2011’s Fiction Prize), Jesmyn Ward, was interviewed recently, on National Public Radio’s Tell Me More – take a listen.

The non-fiction prize went to The Swerve (“How the World Became Modern”) -wherein Will in the World author focuses on the works of Roman poet/philosopher Lucretius and Poggio Bracciolini – rescuer of “a great number of classical Latin texts, mostly lying forgotten in German and French monastic libraries…” –Here’s a recent write up from the LA Times.
