Oct 15

Saturday is Sweetest Day.

Saturday is also the Michigan-vs-Michigan State Football Game.

Camp Casey is also hosting a music/food and arts festival (eesh, right inside our west-parking lot)…

Busy Busy Busy…

But It’s Also the Kickoff for National Teen Read Week (starting at 1pm.)

and the Ferndale Public Library is celebrating with an Author Visit – at 2:30pm featuring New York Times Bestselling author, Lisa McMann, speaking-about and autographing copies of her new fantasy epic The Unwanteds

So… don’t waste your money on roses… and remember that ESPN and Fox Sports will replay-the-hell-out-of those sports clips from the college football game later that evening. Bring your young readers, tweens and teens, into the library and give them the opportunity to meet this author, to find out more about the activities during Teen Read Week AND to find out who won our design-a-bookmark contest (whose bookmark that will be featured throughout the library).

Be advised – our west parking lot will be completely closed off to accommodate Camp Casey Fest. Please park on the east side (facing City Hall) or search for some of the available street parking. It might be a bit chilly for a bike ride… but if you can make it, we’d love to see you.

P.S. An FYI to adults – the evening of Oct 15th is also when the Friends of the Ferndale Library host their 80’s Prom – more info here.

P.P.S. – Go State.
