2011 Pulitzers: Goon Squad and Cancer’s Biography

The Pulitzer’s for Literature were announced today!

Jennifer Egan‘s quirky, punk-rock tinged “medley of voices — in first, second and third person — scrambled through time and across the globe… (Washington Post)” won the fiction prize.

Non-fiction’s prize went to Siddhartha Mukherjee‘s Emperor of All Maladies: A Biography of Cancer – “a definitive history of how cancer has been understood, treated, feared and politicized throughout all of recorded human history.” Which is a “staggeringly tall order,” as the New York Times Review puts it.

Find these books either at the FPL or through the Library Network – HERE -and HERE.
