Read Daniel Lyons’ July Newsweek article on the endurance of the Kindle e-reader in the face of a rising iPad.

Then, to more austere news endemic in this slowly recovering economy, David A. Graham (on Newsweek) gives an updated forecast on the country’s public libraries – and the formidable budget cuts many have had to make, some even “cutting too far,” as these hallowed institutions strive to gird our “global competitiveness” via vital maintenance of “information literacy.”
